Creton from TVP

Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 3/4 cups of TVP The Brutes Nature
- 4 cups of vegetable broth
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 cup of quick-cooking rolled oats
Preparation
- In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add the TVP, broth, spices, and salt. Using a wooden spoon, stir well. Season with pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the oat flakes. Continue cooking uncovered until all the liquid has evaporated, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan, ramekins, or other containers. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the pâté. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until completely chilled.
